Whitepages’ Speed Search requires third-party cookies to be enabled in your browser in order to function properly. This allows you to pick up where you left off in case you get interrupted while uploading your spreadsheet, by temporarily storing a copy of the spreadsheet until the upload is complete.
The process for changing your cookie settings varies from browser to browser, but you can find guides for each of the major browsers linked here:
- Google Chrome
- In the Chrome app, click the 3 dots in the top right to open the menu and click Settings.
- On the left-side menu, click Privacy and security.
- Click Cookies and other site data.
- Select either Allow all cookies or Block third-party cookies in Incognito (assuming you’re not using Whitepages with an incognito window).
- Safari
- Open the Safari app and in the top menu bar click the Safari menu and click Preferences.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Ensure that the Block all cookies checkbox is unchecked.
- Microsoft Edge
- In the Chrome app, click the 3 dots in the top right to open the menu and click Settings.
- On the left-side menu, click Cookies and site permissions.
- Click Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Ensure the Block third-party cookies toggle is set to off.
- Firefox
- In the Firefox app, click the 3 lines in the top right to open the menu and click Settings.
- On the left-side menu, click Privacy & Security.
- Choose Standard custom cookie settings. If you are using Custom cookie settings, expand the Custom menu and select an option that allows Third-Party Cookies.
- Return to the browser tab with Whitepages open and refresh the page.
If you are using a browser extension that blocks cookies, you may need to adjust it’s settings to allow third-party cookies from Whitepages. After enabling third-party cookies, if you encounter any problems uploading your spreadsheet, please contact our support team.
Since there are no other features on Whitepages that require the use of third-party cookies, you are more than welcome to turn off third-party cookies again once you’ve uploaded your spreadsheet.
